Hurricane Michael

On October 10th 2018 Category 5 hurricane Michael barreled on shore taking with it our Church building. We lost our Sanctuary, office building, chapel, children’s building and youth building. Only one building survived and that was our Education building. This one building has accommodated all of our congregation.
We are blessed to have it.
Immediately following the storm our gym became a distribution center for our area. We were blessed to have people all over the country giving to our distribution center, We had semi truck loads full come in every week, every week it was given out. The church and all the hundreds of volunteers worked day and night for 4 months distributing. So what are we doing now?
We have volunteers coming in every week staying in the facility. They come and help with various projects throughout our community. We are blessed to have these amazing churches partnering with us!
What a blessing they are to our community and to us!
The future looks bright for Carlisle. The Lord is using this amazing church in ways we never imagined. He is a great God and is working all things to work together. We look forward to the day we have a brand new sanctuary, children’s area and office but for now the education building that was spared is our meeting place.
Have we mentioned how much we are blessed? The Lord is a Good, Good father. He has taken care of us. We are praying the motion the hurricane set into motion never stops.

Mark 12:30-31

30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
